Why HT earthing is different
In a high-tension installation, a fault can drive a very large current into the ground. The earthing system must carry that current without damage, and keep the voltage a person could touch, or step across, within safe limits. That depends on the layout of the earth mat, the number and position of electrodes, conductor sizes and the soil itself.
Designs follow the project specification and the applicable standards, such as IS 3043, the Indian code of practice for earthing. Share your drawings or specification and we will work to them.
