Earthing in Delhi NCR’s dry soil
Much of NCR has sandy or loamy soil that becomes very dry in the summer months, when earth resistance rises. A pit that passes in the monsoon can fail in May or June.
Choose a backfill compound grade that holds moisture for longer, and size the electrodes and number of pits for the dry season. Testing in the hottest, driest part of the year is the true check.
Data centres, server rooms and hospitals need low, stable earthing with copper busbars and bonding. High-rise towers in Gurugram and Noida usually need lightning protection, where an ESE arrester can cover a large roof with fewer terminals.

Questions from Delhi NCR
Why does our earth reading rise in summer?
Dry soil conducts poorly. In NCR’s summer the ground around the electrode dries out and the resistance goes up. A backfill compound that holds moisture, deeper electrodes or an extra pit keep it within limits.
What earthing does a data centre or server room need?
Low, stable earthing to the value your equipment makers and designer specify, with copper busbars, bonding of racks and equipment, and a dedicated earth pit bonded to the building’s main earthing.
