A steel core molecularly bonded with copper, giving copper’s conductivity and corrosion resistance at a lower cost than solid copper. This is the electrode most commonly specified for chemical earthing in India, and the one we supply in the largest volumes.

Where it fits
The electrode is the heart of the earth pit. It stands in the bored hole, surrounded by backfill compound, and carries fault current from the earthing strip into the soil. The clamp at its top joins it to the strip, and the pit cover keeps the joint reachable for testing.
