Earthing for Odisha’s coast and industry
Near the coast, around Paradip, Puri, Balasore and Berhampur, the soil and air carry salt, which corrodes steel and galvanising faster. Pure copper or copper bonded electrodes, copper strip and stainless steel clamps last much longer there.
Odisha also sees cyclones and heavy lightning in the pre-monsoon and monsoon months, so tall structures, plants and towers need lightning protection with well-earthed down conductors.
Inland, the steel, aluminium and power plants around Angul, Jharsuguda, Rourkela and Sambalpur need earth grids of G.I or copper strip and earthing for transformers and panels, often to a specified resistance value.

Questions from Odisha
Which earthing electrode lasts longest near the sea?
Pure copper lasts longest in salty or waterlogged soil, and copper bonded electrodes are a good balance of life and cost. Use copper strip and stainless steel or brass clamps so the joints do not corrode first.
Do you supply earthing for plants in Angul, Jharsuguda and Rourkela?
Yes. We supply electrodes, G.I and copper strip for earth grids, busbars and accessories in bulk, cut to your drawing, and can carry out HT earthing works.
Do you deliver to Bhubaneswar and Cuttack?
Yes. We deliver across Odisha, including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Rourkela, Sambalpur and Paradip, by road from our factory in Howrah.
